6 Weeks Free

I was told in March of 2010 that there was a shadow on the bottom of my right lung but it could just be an organ on the x-ray. In March of 2011 I had a follow up x-ray which showed the shadow was still there. I had to have a CT Scan with contrast on my right lung for a mass. I have been a smoker for 27 years. At the age of 42, that was a long time. Prior to the results of the scan I made the decision that if I was cancer free, I would quit smoking. The results came back negative for cancer.
So on May 10th, at 10 am I came home from the hospital, smoked a final cigarette and quit. I have been using the Nicorette lozenges but the real way to quit is to know it is the right time for you. I have quit at least a dozen times before, going back to smoking after a few days because of "stress". Now hopefully I will be smoke free.
Editor's Note: Well done on persevering with giving up smoking. Nicorette Lozenges are supposed to help with nicotine cravings and withdrawal symptoms - have they helped you so far?
